Reflection on The Alchemist

"Through every storm, I kept my heart kind and true — that is the greatest treasure I carry."

Reading The Alchemist felt like reconnecting with a part of myself. Its simple, pure story spoke directly to my heart.

The book reminded me of truths I already hold dear:

  • The universe supports us when we follow our true path.

  • Life speaks to us through the omens and signs we encounter — the language of the world.

  • True courage is not the absence of fear, but acting despite it.

  • Often, the treasure we seek is already close, hidden in our everyday lives.

  • Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his own.

I see myself reflected in this journey. Despite difficulties since a kid - growing up alone as kid without caretakers, food facing death a few times etc, I stayed kind and true to myself. If I had to describe myself in a few words, I would say: bright, kind, capacity to learn, resilient. These qualities have helped me weather life's storms and find joy in the journey.

I believe that if a person isn’t too disturbed by the world around them, they can fulfill the important parts of their life. Through it all, I've learned that my greatest treasure is not something I need to chase outside of myself, it’s my spirit: Through every storm, I kept my heart kind and true — that is the greatest treasure I carry.

What’s your treasure?
