Reflection: the Quiet Bravery of Motherhood

To bring life into the world is an act of profound creation, one rooted in strength, vulnerability, and sacrifice. A woman’s body becomes the first home. Her heartbeat, the first lullaby. And yet, in giving so fully, she often loses parts of herself: rest, ease, recognition, control over her own body.

The world may celebrate the baby, and forget the mother. But her quiet courage, her unseen healing, her resilience through pain and doubt, those are worthy of reverence too. The sacrifice does not end at birth. It can take years, sometimes three or more for a woman to feel fully herself again. To rebuild strength. To reclaim her body. To come home to who she is now, changed.

Motherhood is not just beautiful. It is also brave. For in becoming a mother, she is born again too.
